The story behind the work

It was our first time at OFFF Barcelona this year - three days of designers, artists, technologists, storytellers and filmmakers sharing ideas and drawing inspiration from across disciplines.
While there were lots of interesting insights, one thread really stood out: a shift in how creative work is being communicated, particularly when it comes to craft.

Across the festival, there was a growing openness around process. Not as a behind-the-scenes extra, but as something that shapes the story - bringing people closer to how the work actually comes to life.
Because so much of craft sits beneath the surface.
The decisions, the iterations, the judgement calls - the hours spent refining something that, in the end, looks polished.
At a time where outputs can feel instant, that shift matters. When the end result is easier than ever to produce, it’s the thinking behind it that gives it meaning.
The most interesting work doesn’t just show you the result.
It shows you how it got there.
